Data & processing

From raw flight to
decision-ready data.

Falcon processes every dataset we capture: dock, drone, manned aircraft or ground scanner. You get measured answers in the formats your team already uses, and your data stays under your control from start to finish.

1

Capture

Dock, drone, manned aircraft LiDAR or terrestrial laser scanning, matched to the job.

2

Store on site

Raw data lands on local infrastructure first. You decide what leaves the site.

3

Process & QA

Photogrammetry, LiDAR classification, georeferencing and checks against surveyed ground control.

4

Deliver

Point clouds, DEMs, 3D models, maps, volumes and reports, in your formats.

↻ Docks repeat the same route on schedule, so every new dataset lines up with the last and change can be measured.

LiDAR point clouds

Millions of measured points, in place

A point cloud is a 3D record of a site made of millions of measured points. Falcon captures it with drone and manned-aircraft LiDAR, or builds it from overlapping photos with photogrammetry, then classifies every point as ground, vegetation, building, utilities and more.

DEMs & utility corridors

Bare earth, conductors and canopy from one flight

Colored by elevation, this Falcon point cloud shows two transmission corridors crossing open ground and tree stands. Ground points become a digital elevation model (DEM), while conductors, poles and nearby vegetation are captured as their own classes.

  • DEM / DTM / DSM for grading, drainage and flood studies
  • Conductors and structures captured in 3D
  • Vegetation near the lines for clearance and encroachment review

Scale: 661.91 – 1012.95, colored by elevation.

Through the canopy

LiDAR that reaches the ground under the trees

Each laser pulse can return several times as it passes through leaves and branches. Colored by return, this Falcon scan shows pulses reaching lower layers and the ground beneath two tree stands, which is how we model terrain that cameras can't see.

Your data stays on site

Utilities, critical infrastructure, industrial plants and confidential job sites can't have imagery sitting on a public cloud. Falcon's docks store data locally, on site, so sensitive captures stay inside your perimeter.

  • Local storage of raw captures at the dock site
  • You own your data: deliverables and raw files are yours
  • Controlled access: only the people you approve see your site

Stockpile volumes

A real Falcon stockpile report

For the Schereville site, Falcon measured two stockpiles from an RTK LiDAR point cloud against a mean-plane base surface. The report gives cut, fill and net volume for each pile in cubic yards and cubic meters.

Total cut19,045.5 yd³
Total fill54.1 yd³
Net material18,991.4 yd³
  • Survey-grade reference: NAD83(2011) / Indiana West (ftUS), NAVD88 heights
  • On a schedule: a dock re-flies the yard and every pile is compared with the last flight
  • Report-ready: PDF and CSV for accounting and audits

Construction progress

A dated record of the whole job

A dock on or near the site captures the same views every day or week. Over the life of the project that builds a complete visual timeline, plus earthwork quantities between any two dates.

  • Cut & fill volumes between flights
  • As-built vs design overlays against plans or BIM
  • Remote visibility: owners and lenders see progress without a site visit
  • Documentation for pay applications and disputes

3D models & maps

See the whole site from any angle

Photogrammetry turns thousands of overlapping images into accurate, photo-textured models and maps.

Textured 3D models

Sites, structures and facades you can orbit, measure and share in a browser.

OBJFBX3D Tiles

Orthomosaic maps

A single, map-accurate photo of the entire site, ready to drop into GIS or CAD as a base layer.

GeoTIFFKMZ

Terrain & contours

Elevation surfaces and contour lines for grading, drainage and civil design.

Accuracy

Tied to surveyed ground control

Falcon sets and surveys ground control and checkpoints with GNSS receivers, then uses them to georeference and verify every dataset. Your deliverables land in the right place, in the coordinate system and units your team works in.
