FAQ

Common questions

What is a drone dock?

A weatherproof base station that stores, charges and launches a drone with no one on site. Falcon's remote pilots fly dock missions from our operations center under an FAA waiver for beyond-visual-line-of-sight operations.

Where do you operate?

Nationwide. We have 30+ docks in operation and a network of professional pilots for on-site work, in remote and urban areas alike.

Who owns the data, and where is it stored?

You own your data. Dock captures are stored locally on site, so sensitive imagery stays inside your perimeter until it's processed and delivered.

Are you insured?

Yes. Falcon carries a $10 million aviation liability insurance policy.

What deliverables do I get?

Point clouds (LAS/LAZ, E57), 3D models, orthomosaics, terrain models and contours, stockpile volume reports, construction progress reports and inspection reports, in the formats your team already uses.

Can you process data we already have?

Yes. Falcon processes datasets from other operators, as well as everything we capture ourselves.

I've never bought drone data. Where do I start?

Tell us the question you need answered. We'll recommend the right capture method, schedule and deliverables, and explain what it will cost.
